DIY: Keys Plaque + Office Decor

I would just like to shout from the rooftops that this is not something I found on Pinterest. I repeat, not found on Pinterest.

Ok. Well...I am sure something very similar is floating around out there.

For our my Office (calling it mine since my books, etc are all in here. Ryan has his drum room, I get the Office. Fair is fair, right?), I'm going with Tiffany-esque decor. 

Girly, but not pink or purple.

Though I highly doubt Ryan will ever use it like I will.

Anyway, I found these keys in the Dollar section at Michael's and I got the idea to frame them.

(I've had a weird obsession with them lately). 

So I thought it would be cute to frame them, add some scrapbook paper in the background to make them pop, and you got simple decor!

So, here are the materials:

- keys

- scrapbook paper

- frame

All bought at Michael's 

Then I just simply cut the paper to fit in the frame, took out the glass, put the paper with backing in, glued the keys on to the paper and...

Viola!

I love how it turned out. And it provides that pop of color I'm looking for without having to paint the walls (yet anyway).

I also picked up these items to put in the office...

I originally was going to go with a lamp that had a print on it in turquoise but I like the simplicity of the other one a lot more.

I also found some curtains to use for the Office, but that's another post in itself. ;)

Well, that's all I got for this room right now!
