Goals for 2012

Like many of you, I made some Resolutions this year.
However, I started mine about a week later than many started theirs.
All because I was sick. :(
I had an awful cold and wanted to get completely better (aka, breathe through my nose) before I got into it.
So, I started my resolutions on Monday.

One of my goals is to lose 10 pounds (I'm hoping for at least half by Valentine's).
Doing this, I want to start working out more.
So I'm setting a goal to do it 4 days a week and I even have two of the days planned out. And hopefully I can stick it out.
Tuesday/Thursday mornings: elliptical!
I am super proud of this because I am NOT a morning work out person.
I can get up a little later on those days due to my schedule so I decided to get up around the same time the other days during the week. It was kind of hard on Tuesday and this morning, but I think I can make this work.

In hand with that, to obviously start eating better. It was kind of bad there for a while thanks to the Holiday's and being out of school. Now I can get into a routine so I hopefully won't choose to eat badly. I would really like to stick to my guns until I can get the weight off.

Another resolution is to start working on those DIY projects I have on Pinterest.
I want a "DIY: Done!" board dang it! haha
I even made a list of things I need to buy so I can finally get started on a couple of them.
I'm hoping to be able to do one every couple weeks or so (being realistic here).
Since I don't have much planned this weekend, I'm hoping to start/finish one!
Here's what I'm hoping to get supplies for this weekend:

My Nana used to collect spoons, and I got all of them when she passed away. So I'd like to be able to do this with some of them and be able to display them.

A "book" of all our wedding cards.

I'd also like to paint this initial that I found in a color more to my liking.

And for my last resolution....I'd like to take more pictures!
So far I have none with people that I can show you since there hasn't been much that's gone on so far this year (haha) but it's something I'm still determined on doing!

What are your goals this year? Have you stuck to them so far?

Love to you.
Kristen

  5. I'm so happy you're feeling better. This is a great goal and super realistic. I actually have the same goal. Night work outs are the best for me though. Any extra time to sleep should be used to do so. lol. Adore this post. Thanks for sharing, love. xo

  6. I hear you on the NY goals! I am trying so hard to lose about 20 pounds. I've heard that if you can stick things out to Valentine's Day then you have a great chance of accomplishing your goals. I think this is so helpful because Valentine's Day really ISN'T that far away! Good luck also with your pinterest DIY ideas--the spoons are beautiful! :)
