First, I'd like to say a BIG thank you to everyone for your really sweet and encouraging words from my post on Friday.
I really appreciate it, a lot more than you know.
It was my first time really sharing something personal of myself on my blog and I was afraid of the reaction, so thank you again!
You all are the BEST. :)
I also really think writing it out on here is going to help me. I feel like (I like to think anyway) that I have more determination. I'm even planning on making it a part of my Friday posts. So hopefully I can finally conquer this!
Anyway...I don't have a Monday Deals and Steals post for ya today. I'm making what I planned for last week and just got the items I'll need for the appetizers I'll be making on Sunday at the store.
So, here is my January Birchbox review for ya!
This is probably my favorite Birchbox yet!
There's only one thing in there I know I wouldn't use, but my husband would. As funny as that sounds, you'll find out what that is below... ;)
(and no, it's not the perfume).
Here is what I got in this month's Birchbox...
{ Origins Checks and Balances Face Wash }
It comes out thick but once you get water on it, it loosens and froths up. Best part is that you don't need to use a lot, a pea sized amount is perfect.
It definitely gives your face that squeaky clean feeling, without being harsh, and it gets everything off (except mascara for the most part).
I even ordered the full size of it I love it so.

{ Archipelago Pomegranate Body Soap }
The one thing I wouldn't use simply because I don't use bar soap of any kind. My husband does though so I'm packing that away for him to use should he/we go on a trip somewhere.
And he likes to eat Pomegranate so he should like to smell like one, right?

{ Juicy Couture Perfume }
I love perfume samples. Specifically, when I like the perfume I should say.
I have a make up pouch I keep in my purse that contains my powder compact, chapstick and lipstick. I also keep whatever perfume samples I have if I need to spritz up in the middle of a long day.
I've never tried the Juicy Couture perfumes, but I like this one!

{Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Lionfish}
I could have used some more eyeliner and now thanks to this little beauty, I don't have to buy one!
It came in the color I normally use, which is a dark brown.
I love that it doesn't smudge and that it's still there after a long day.
I even threw away my old one. Hello new favorite!

{Larabar mini in Carrot Cake}
I never had these before, but they were definitely yummy! I'll be sure to keep them in mind for future store purchases.
{Birchbox Magnet}
Can never have too many on the fridge, right?
What was in your Birchbox this month?
Love to you.
Kristen

I've been wanting to sign up to get birchboxes.. but I do the Julep Maven nail polish and I can't do both! Do you always get stuff in it that you use a lot? I'm afraid I would get samples that just sat around
ReplyDeleteSo we got the exact same January box! & it was a good one! My favorite is that eyeliner, I've already order the full one! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI must have missed your post on Friday but just went back and read it. Keep your head, find something that is motivating to you, and set a goal! I'll be praying for you!!
