I Love Books

My blog post title would be an understatement.

Do demonstrate my love of them, I recently bought 12 books.

Now before you think I'm crazy, I had an awesome coupon code to use.

50% off every. single. one.

Therefore, I "spent" $70 on all 12 with 50% off. I say "spent" because that's how much I had in gift cards.

I love Christmas/Birthdays. 

And, because I want to be open with myself, I will admit a slight shame of mine.

I have admitted before that I enjoy a few Young Adult series.

Well, to say that I immensely enjoy YA is also an extreme understatement.

I love it. Especially the paranormal genre.

I don't feel quite so bad because two of my best friends also love the same books I do.

I just feel weird admitting it when I'm 25.

I got re-introduced to the Young Adult genre when I got sucked into Twilight a couple years ago.

I fully blame Twilight.

And the popularity of the Paranormal genre that's going around.
AND my best friend Mandy, who got me into said Twilight.
Yes, you bffff.

I really enjoy this genre for whatever reason now.
And even though I don't enjoy Twilight liked I used to (because let's face it, Stephenie Meyer can't write - sorry to all who adore. I enjoy the series still, just not at all like I used to.) I do give it credit for getting me to read again.

Which is kind of random because my favorite book ever is Pride and Prejudice and I adore Wuthering Heights.

I also intensely enjoy Jodi Picoult and Nicholas Sparks books.

I am so random, I know.

Anyway, if you also are like me, this post is for you.

 I've read this series before and I have no clue why I got rid of them. So I re-bought them. I also just finished re-reading them (hence why I bought them haha). I'm having a kick for books set in the past at the moment.

I've heard wonderful things about this book, especially if you liked Hunger Games. So I finally bought it.

{Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen}

Just finished this one.
I wanted to give it a try since I really enjoy The Luxe series by her.
It was a little slow for the most part, and I didn't really enjoy it until several chapters in. But I do plan on picking up the next book, because I have a feeling a lot will be picking up.

The rest of these, I've heard great things about, but don't know a whole lot about them. So we'll see how I feel about them once I'm done.

I have a feeling that I will be ashamed of my love for paranormal/YA books when my kids are starting to read young adult books.
